Clinical and Business Appointments:
Business Appointment:
Appointments related to business or business-level issues are priced individually based on the organization and its individual needs. Multiple interventions are available and require an initial session to discuss which best suits the organization and its staff.
Clinical Appointments:
The following are the basic options available when booking an online clinical appointment with a Private Psychologist. These options are designed to meet the needs of clients seeking support for common mental health concerns such as anxiety, low mood, stress, difficulties adjusting to life changes or difficulties in the workplace. Individuals with more complex needs or specific presenting issues may be best suited to a particular appointment type, as outlined below, or may benefit from discussing their situation with us before booking. This helps ensure each client is matched with the most appropriate level of support.
These options can be varied as needed, within certain boundaries. The most commonly adjusted aspects are session length and appointment frequency. For example, session duration may be shortened or extended by prior arrangement and subject to the psychologist's availability. Appointment frequency can sometimes be increased or decreased, as mutually agreed, though it is limited by current scheduling and caseload. Certain service-level features, such as additional contact outside scheduled sessions, are only available for specific appointment types, as outlined below. Any adjustments always depend on availability and are confirmed in advance, so that expectations remain clear for each client. This flexibility is designed to help you make the most of your experience while ensuring consistency and professionalism.
Introductory Appointment: £100 per session plus £50 for every additional 15 minutes
In this appointment, we discuss and explain what is involved in your first therapy session with a Psychologist, so that if you choose to continue, you have a sense of what the process entails. During the initial appointment, the type of session best suited to your needs is decided. Payment is due in advance of your appointment. If you decide not to continue after the introductory appointment, there is no further obligation or follow-up, and your engagement with the service ends at that point.
If you have been referred by another professional, such as your GP or another care provider, we can provide them with limited feedback after your introductory session, with your explicit consent. This helps referring professionals track client engagement and outcomes, and ensures coordinated care.
Basic Level Appointment: £200 per session plus £50 for every additional 15 minutes
Sessions at this level last for approximately 50 minutes, and appointments are booked for a specific time each week. Our team of psychologists is fully qualified, holds postgraduate Doctorate-level training in clinical psychology, and is registered with relevant professional bodies, such as the HCPC and the BPS. Many also possess additional specializations in areas such as anxiety disorders, mood difficulties, adjustment to life changes, and trauma-focused therapy. The initial contract is for six weekly sessions, and the need for further appointments is reviewed on the sixth session. Payment for the sessions is made in advance, and there are no refunds. There is no contact with your psychologist outside of appointment times. This policy helps maintain clear professional boundaries and ensures that all support is provided in a structured, therapeutic environment, which fosters consistency and focus during your sessions.
Comprehensive Level Appointments: £270 per session plus £50 for every additional 15 minutes
At this level, appointments are more flexibly arranged, although a certain structure will be maintained to ensure consistent continuity of therapy. One brief contact with your Psychologist is included, defined as either a single email exchange or a phone call of up to 10 minutes. If a lengthy consultation is required, an additional session charge will apply.
Please note that certain presentations or client groups are not suitable for our service. We are unable to accept clients in acute crisis or those requiring immediate risk management, individuals with active severe substance misuse, or those with primary diagnoses of psychosis or eating disorders. Our service is also unable to provide medico-legal reports or court assessments. If you are unsure whether your needs are appropriate for this service, please contact us before booking so we can advise further.
An initial agreement will be reached on the minimum number of appointments, generally six, and payment for the initial minimum sessions is made in advance. There are no refunds, except in rare circumstances such as documented medical emergencies or situations where the psychologist is unable to provide the agreed services. Please contact us directly if you believe you may have grounds for an exception.
